Predictions: I’m not talking about a television or woodshed physic…I’m talking about literally hundreds and thousands of specific events predicted from different people over many years to the detail and fulfilled to the detail…not one failing…not a coincidence. The mathematical probabilities of the accuracy of the Bible would b.low your mind!
One God: Every man has a void in him that he seeks to fill…whether he is from a village in the middle of the jungle influenced by witchcraft or from the bustling metropolises around the world. Whatever the case, man is seeking something to fulfill this void…in some cases he seeks (physical things) all his life never to find satisfaction. This void that he has can only be filled by a relationship with G.od. G.od gives every man enough faith to find him…even without the Bible a man can still find G.od because the physical things that he made point to him and the heavens declare his glory, so man is without excuse. G.od gives man a free will…every man is faced with the decision to receive or deny G.od. No one is forced into a decision.
Concerning the Catholic Church, I am not nor ever have been a member. Like I stated in my previous post, I believe the Bible…my beliefs come from the Bible, not from a “religion.” I find it hard to justify believing a “religion” (whatever religion) that fabricates doctrines which do not line up with the Bible.
Iz, you’ve got some good questions….you’re a real thinker…I like that
I hope I didn’t sound to direct…I’m just trying to say it straight-up

First of all why do you keep referring to all Christan's as Catholics? I think some of what they believe is dumb, I am baptist. 2nd of all what I understand is that G0d leads people to do different task in life and one of those is to be a missionary, to go out and teach others that are not familiar with the Bible. Unfortunately those who do not get a chance to hear about the true G0d, the Bible etc have no chance at getting into heaven and that is Christians fault for not having more of a passion for what they say they believe and don't have enough faith to follow the path G0d leads them toward.'
BTW I prefer Scary Movie 3 over Scary movie 4. SM4 followed the storyline of the war of the worlds which got long, drawn out and boring. Since SM4 followed the same idea and story line it also got long, drawn out and boring. And allot of the jokes were not funny and have been used in the other Scary Movies so I did not get much "new" out of it.

Even rocks are not proof of evolution. A volcano can create layers of rock that would thousands of years for time to create. A massive flood could do it on a world wide scale. A meteor could also create millions of years of rock layers in a single moment.
It is possible to measure the sun using astonomy. It is not precise, but it is usually accurate within miles. It is possible to see if the sun is shrinking. It is generally excepted by scientists that the sun will collasp and then expand out and make life on earth impossible...but that is "millions of years down the road."

You are not in danger of us you for voiceing your opinions. In fact, I think that perhaps there should be a section on the forums for such conversations. We shall see. . .

Having a "set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader" (religion) does not contradict "Knowledge, especially that gained through experience." (science).
This is not a debate of religion vs. science; it is a debate between two religions or two sciences.
The one who claims science over religion is simply stating his religious beliefs, as he believes he himself is the final authority on all matters, making "self" the "g.od".
The one who claims religion over science is rare to find, but would be accepting "blind" faith, which is not logical.
Logic comes from the word "logos" which means "the word" or "reasoning". Using sound reasoning (logic) and faith (substance and evidence - not blindness), I can have faith (not religion) that the universe was created, based upon substance and evidence (science).
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In the beginning was the Word (logos), and the Word was with G.od, and the Word was G.od. The same was in the beginning with G.od. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
p.s. I say keep the conversation going. If someones not interested, they can move on. If they are, it can be fun.

I think what Cuban was getting at was that it is more often Christians than atheists who have fully thought out there position weighing all facts, historical, scientific, logical, and biblical. Atheists, in there over-zealous attempts to disprove Christianity often overlook obvious flaws in their thinking.
We must all strive to be unbiased thinkers when presented with information. We must listen fully to an argument, and then study the new information to confirm the hypothesis, not just compare it to our biases and dismiss it. That is what I strive for.

I belive our forums need more topics like this. They not only keep the forums active but fun too. Izzo you said the post was to help keep the forums active and it did. I think we will make a section of the forums for this type of thing.
What do you think?
