My B-Day is coming up and I’m thinking of getting a high quality laptop, what’s a good laptop that you would suggest? (Don’t want it too pricey)

1st I would ask yourself what you would use the laptop for, would you actually be using the "Lap" part of it or would you be using it as a desktop. Either way I would check out www.tigerdirect.com that is where I got my new computer from. They have good deals and are not to high in price. Make sure it can run UT2007!!!! --Cuban--

Hey Burn,
In short: Unfortunately there is no such thing as an inexpensive high-quality laptop
Expounded: I just recently bought a laptop. And through the research process I found that laptops are quite a bit more expensive due to their portability and size (this goes for any brand of laptop). For a somewhat inexpensive laptop you will only get a 2.2 Ghz(2.? something Ghz processor) and you don't want that...not to mention it will have a small hard drive, minimal RAM, a Display that won't refresh fast enough for gaming, and the price isn't that good.
I would suggest a desktop because you will get alot more for you dollar.
Just for fun though...check out the specifications on laptops at Dell.com and Alienware.com....you'll see what I mean. You will pay some bucks for a gaming laptop -- Alienware specializes in them. (ouchie on the price though).
