I will tell you why I don't like it. because I can't listen to my music. I suck if I can't focus and concentrate. I don't like most of the music other people play on the Mic anyways. Even if people chat on the Mic's allot I will block them so I can listen to my music.

it imposes on people.
not everyone likes all kinds of music. when you get in the way of something that someone might enjoy with something they might not, its frustrating and annoying. given someone could be just as annoyed by the sound of someones voice or what they might be saying, its far more expected then imposing on them with music and therefore more accepted. people use the voice feature on ut to talk to each other. when someone is getting in the way of that by over occupying the chat it makes people feel like your taking away their ability to do so.
the best comparison i can think of would be if you were at a play or a comedy performance, and were there to enjoy that. then someone stands up and begins to sing loudly. even if the person's singing was good and everyone there liked the genre they were singing in, its still imposing. its rude and makes you seem villainous. its like the guy in elementary school that would interrupt purposely every time anyone would start a new statement, just to be interrupting. you shouldn't do it. the more you consider it the wronger it becomes.
+++ people that do that usually persist in it without pause. and for my experience usually it is followed up by lots of lag. doing that isn't good for the server.

I have to much pride to accept defeat. (pride in a negative way in most cases) I never give in I never get up, when I lose it's a fluke and when I win it's because I'm warm. I only accept defeat when it's a rape and if I have never beaten that person before. I'm a b!t*h and you love me anyways  Only a few people post because only a few people care or have an opinion on this matter. The people not posting are the people that don't mind the music. |

I'm like you...I need to concentrate! The music makes me crazy when I'm gamin...soooooo....I mute all the "in-game" chat. The only time I talk or hear others is in teamspeak.
Take that back...in DM some servers have the music embeded into the map effects somehow and I haven't been able to mute it. As if DM wasn't psycho enough, the music really adds to my derrangement.

essage flooding is not tolerated on simeserver. Abusing voice communications (for example: to excessively play music) is also not tolerated.
DIRECTLY from the sime server forums. It states I should'nt play TOO much music so when I play it for two seconds people should'nt freak.

5 people want you to jump off a bridge and 2 people don't. I don't know you well enough to know who you would listen to, but I would listen to the people saying no, even though there as less of them.
A man in my position talking about the SIME server specifically, has the choice to do what I want. Someone playing music gives me an easy reason to kick someone I find annoying.
Of course anyone in any of the clans that run sime I would not kick, unless it was constant music.
Personally 2 seconds of music is no more big a deal then someone talking for 2 seconds.
Am I too serious all the time?
If YES then GOOD
If No then I will try harder to be serious more often
